Recent Fairmont Battery Wharf Review: "The hotel was outstanding in most respects. It is beautiful and even the leather chair in the room is amazingly comfortable, and if I could have brought it home in my suitcase, I would have. I found the room service menu to have a nice selection but the food was mediocre: breakfast was delivered cold; the lobster hash was barely edible. The night of arrival I had a Kobe beef burger, which was tasteless and not cooked to order, however the clam chowder was exceptional. The staff was friendly and very helpful and blessed with a sense of humor. There is no business center, and to get a print out from my laptop was an ordeal, that required that I email the document to a staff member to print from the office; silly but inconvenient. Driving in Boston is almost as difficult as parking. Parking at the hotel is obscenely expensive. Amtrak and the airport are easily accessible by public transportation. Public transportation is easy to navigate, safe and clean and $2 per ride. Leave your car at home and take cabs and the "T" which is Boston's subway. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the Haymarket T stop. You can hail a cab to and from the T if you like. The hotel is also a few blocks from Little Italy which is well worth exploring. This is a great grown-up hotel. The restaurant menu was trendy, expensive and pretentious and didn't appeal to me so I went to Legal Seafood which was highly recommended by Fodors: it was very expensive and I was underwhelmed. Don't waste your money. Next time I plan on exploring Little Italy..."
